Resident Marine Engineer (Afloat & Shipyard Repairs)
Oversee afloat emergency repairs, hull renewal, piping overhauls, and propulsion machinery maintenance across Singapore anchorages and shipyards. Coordinate technical execution directly with Class surveyors and vessel superintendents.
Key Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Singapore shipyard or afloat vessel repair operations.
- Strong knowledge of Class society rules (DNV, BV, ABS, Lloyd's) and hot work safety permits.
Certified 6G Marine Structural Welder & Steel Fitter
Execute structural welding and fitting on heavy circular marine modules, crane pedestals, mooring winch foundations, and vessel hull plates in our Tuas workshop and on-board ships under Class survey inspection.
Key Requirements:
- Valid 6G welding qualification (SMAW / FCAW / GTAW) certified by recognized Class societies.
- Minimum 3 years experience in marine structural steel fabrication and reading fabrication shop drawings.
- Ability to pass ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing (UT/MPI) on critical welds.
Marine Piping Specialist & Hydro-Testing Technician
Pre-fabricate, fit, and renew seawater cooling lines, ballast pipes, fuel cargo systems, and hydraulic pipes using carbon steel, Cu-Ni, and GRE materials. Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing and Class inspections.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in marine pipe spool fabrication, flange alignment, and high-pressure testing.
- Familiarity with ship piping schematics, P&ID diagrams, and pipe bending machinery.
- Minimum 2-4 years shipyard or afloat voyage repair experience.
Mechanical Overhaul & Proof Load Testing Specialist
Perform mechanical overhaul of marine anchor windlasses, winches, hydraulic motors, and deck cranes. Assist in executing water weight bag proof load tests up to 100T+ with calibrated load cells and Class surveyor witnesses.
Key Requirements:
- Technical diploma or trade certification in Marine / Mechanical Engineering.
- Hands-on background with winch brake testing, crane hydraulic valves, and load testing rigging gear.
- Minimum 3 years relevant marine mechanical servicing experience.
Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator (WSHC - Marine)
Implement bizSAFE Star, ISO 45001, and shipyard safety standards across all active repair vessels and our Tuas South fabrication facility. Enforce risk assessments, confined space entry protocols, and hot work safety.
Key Requirements:
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (Level B) or equivalent recognized by MOM.
- Minimum 2-3 years safety coordination experience in marine shipyard or offshore industry.
- Certified in Confined Space Safety Assessor and Hot Work Assessor credentials preferred.
